June 17-19, 2011
Together with Ceilo, Cherry and Sai, I went to Dapitan City where one of my barkada in college (Sai) lives. Dapitan City is home to the ever famous Dakak Beach Resort and of course our national hero Dr. Jose Rizal. And it was such a coincidence that it was Jose Rizal's 150th birthday and I was there at his place. I thought I was patriotic that time. haha.

The ship departed from Cebu at Friday, 9PM and arrived at Dapitan City Port at Saturday, almost 8:00 in the morning.

Panoramic view of Dapitan City.

Sai's father picked us from the port with a car (laishu!) and we had a very delicious breakfast waiting for us at their home. After breakfast, we never wasted time and toured the whole city immediately.

Rizal Park was our first destination.

Those pictures I'm pointing to are Rizal's collection of girlfriends. Not bad!

Serious and very eager Cherry Anne looking at the original Noli Me Tangere.

After our little historic tour, we had a super delicious lunch at Sai's place. Tita Clynia (Sai's mom) prepared all the foods that are rarely eaten in Cebu like big prawns, big alimangos, lechon baboy, chicken salad, embutido, talaba, brazo de mercedes etc.

Alimangos are my favorite.

BIG prawns.

Talaba (sea shells)

Mouth watering Brazo de Mercedes

Dakak Beach Resort was our next tourist destination.
I never thought that Dakak is a very BIG resort. It was actually the biggest resort I've ever been. It's very clean and nice and there was wifi access too at their lobby.

The entrance fee for sight seeing is 200 pesos.

Yeah! I was there...

We can't swim on the pools so picture taking nalang. hehe

Awesome rides. I wanna try all of these when I go back here!

The beach...

The bitches... Hahaha!

Isn't it breath-taking?

After Dakak, we went to Dipolog City (it's about 30 minutes ride from Dapitan City). We dropped at Menens and Lee Plaza Mall and had pizza dinner at their most famous cafe, UrChoice Cafe.

(L to R ) Me, Sai, Tita Clynia, Cherry, Ceilo. Sai's Tito took this picture.

Then, at 9PM we went back to Dapitan City to experience all the rides at Gloria's Fantasy Land.

P500 is ride all you can but excluding their
ever famous Horror House whic is priced at P100.

With the performers at Fantasy Land.

The most horrible ride was of course the "roller coaster-like" ride. Another equally scary ride was the Galleon which left me speechless and shaking after taking the ride. huhu :(
We tried all the rides (even if it's for the kids only. haha) like Ferris Wheel , Carousel and Bump Cars.

Caterpillar ride.

Bump Cars. We were really having a great time!

Then, it's time for us to face our fears... It's time for horror house! It was like crazy amazing! I mean I am not really scared of horror house because I know that it ain't real. But actually I was screaming and laughing boisterously during our little trip because I was amused of the story of our guide (she said that we'll be looking for Elmer...) and of course, the monsters were really funny scary. haha! I really enjoyed that experience. It's a "must-experience" when you go to Dapitan.

A pose taken outside the horror house.

Okay, here we go now... Ready to look for Elmer! Hahaha!

All in all, these were our expenses per person:
1200 Ship ticket (back and forth)
500 Fantasy Land (ride all you can)
100 Horror House (treat ni tita Clynia)
200 Dakak beach resort (entrance fee)

Accommodation, food and transportation service is for free so it lessened our expenses.
2,000 Pesos is not bad for all the fun and great time that we had.
When I got back to Cebu (at the office in particular), I was like scolded by our PL. huhuhu :(
But no matter, this trip is worth all the scold. wahahaha :D
Our bonding moments with Ganesha teammates have been on a roll lately. Aside from our daily Acacia moments, we also did movie-watching and partying together, mostly on Friday nights. It's maybe because the project is going to end so soon and we felt like we need to cherish the remaining moments and time together. char lang! haha!

Here are the Ganesha Friday night-outs this month of June: (note that there are also non-Friday nightouts hehe... I just like to entitle this post as Last Friday Night. I'm sorry for the incoherence...)

1. First was last June 3, Friday night. We organized it for our client for her to meet us all. We decided to go to K1 Family KTV (again??!!!) because that's our favorite place. haha. Well, as expected, we sang and danced like it's the end of the world.

I was cut in the picture. Bad! :[

Katawaa Lawrence oi! Hahaha :D

Ganesha Team Full Force!

The ever unsuccessful serious-look pose.

Dandita, the teddy bear.

Kenya vs Dandita showdown.

Oh where was our client? Actually, she was not able to come because she doesn't have our contact numbers... or so I think... toinks. haha. But anyway, that doesn't stop us from partying and enjoying the night. After K1 Family KTV, we went to Nuvo near IT Park to party some more. It was actually our first time there.

Anong kaguluhan ito?

Aaaah... c Jellie diay. Nyahaha! :D

Hubog na si John Jay. Haha

Unsa may problema Lawrence?

Gikan ka naligo Ms. Kring? Haha!

That was an incredible night because everybody danced and had fun. And I'm glad to see some of my shy teammates shaking them booties and grinding them hips. Oh yeah! That was really a WILD night! haha :D

2. Second was last June 6, Monday night (told yah! haha). We watched Xmen : First Class at Ayala Cinema. We were 16 who watched the movie. Actually I fell asleep while watching because I didn't have enough sleep the night before that. :(

Others were not included in the picture because 16 people wouldn't fit. hehe

3. Then on June 23, Thursday night, we watched On the Ropes, a French movie. I fell asleep again because I am stressed at work and I love to sleep at movie theaters. haha!

4. Then, June 24, Friday night (TGIF!) we watched Love Like Poison, another French movie. I fell asleep for the 3rd time. hahaha! After that, we went to Bryz Bar and Restaurant located at Mango Ave. We just spent 55 pesos to enjoy the night. (I wasn't able to bring camera this time. huhu)

Now that the project is going to end so so soooon, I'm afraid that we'll have to seperate ways. I just wanna say that I really enjoyed the company with these guys and I'm surely gonna miss them.
Last May 29, 2011, I invited some of my closest officemates to eat our house. Aw!haha. No, it was actually our hometown's annual fiesta and it has been a tradition that we prepare something for our invited guests. Everytime I bring with me some friends, it's included in the package that I tour them around our beautiful island. So, the day after our fiesta, I took the honor to "tour guide" my honorable guests around the breath-taking tourist spots in Bohol and take note: they are all first timers. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

A pose with my guests (Jeraldy and Jellie) with my ever beautiful Maming. hehe Kenneth at this time is still at the office (Cebu) coding his pending tasks. haha :D

With the multicab that we rode for the tour.

Our first stop was the ever famous Chocolate Hills. Unfortunately, there was a drizzle when we went up the tallest Chocolate hill, but that didn't stop us from having our jump shot at the edge of the hill.

lukso jud!!!

Then, we dropped by the Man Made Forest. It's nice to have joyride there and sing Teenage Dream with all your heart. Actually we did that and it felt good. haha!

model sa mga lovely trees...

Then we went to Loboc River to watch the cute Tarsiers. The river cruise was kinda expensive so we opted not to ride.

Saonz jed ang pag-gunit sa Tarsier. Hahaha :D

Then, we dropped for a little while at Baclayon Church to take some pictures.

O diba, Vintage look. hehe

Then, we visited our friends who were having a "tagay" under the heat of the sun. Wahaha. No, it was actually the Blood Compact Shrine of Dagohoy and Miguel Lopez de Legazpi (correct me if I'm wrong. hehe).

Tagay daw o, anah ang naa sa likod. haha!

Then, our last destination was Panglao. It almost took us an hour to find a beach because all of the beaches were full. We first went to Whites and Greens beach resort but it was full so we went to Bikini beach instead. The beach in Bikini was nice but the sand isn't that nice and there were a lot of rocks. So, we went to Dumaluan beach resort after, but we were not allowed to enter by the guard because we brought some food.

Guard: "Naa mo dala pagkaon?"
Me: "Oo naa..."
Guard: "Aaaah... puno nami. Adto nalang mos lain!"

Whaaaaat!!? How RUDE and OGUBs that guard!!! That was very illogical! How come he couldn't let us in if we brought with us some food. Hahaaayz... But anyway, we didn't lose hope so we went to find some more and at last, we found Alona beach resort.
Hmmmm... I was a bit disappointed with the beach because it was grassy although the sand was fine. But I loved the view there because there were a lot of foriegners around. haha!

See the grasses at our feet?

We stayed there for a while and then went to Tubigon Port to go back to our pending tasks in Cebu. huhu :(

All in all, these were our expenses (per person):
Fare (back and forth) - P600
Gasoline and driver expenses - P400

Of course, food and accommodation was for free so it lessened our expenses. I hope my honorable guests enjoyed the tour (I guess they did!) because I, myself, who has toured Bohol for the nth time, still had a great time.

Tuesday, June 14, 2011

It was Thursday, May 26, 2011. I still have a lot of pending tasks - 5 Maintenance screens in particular. But I can't afford to miss this event (happens like once in a blue moon you know). So, the hell with my pending screens (kidding. haha). No one can stop me from going home and attending this reunion. Even the BIG waves on my way to Bohol tried to stop me, but none of them were strong and powerful enough. Hahaha (feeling superman). It was like an against-all-odds journey for me.
Anyway, It was 7PM when I arrived home. I hurriedly took a bath and dressed up because I am kind of late in the event. Then my highschool best buddy Tim2x, fetched me. (This is a perk I really love when I'm here in Talibon, a lot of free rides! LOL) When I arrived, they were already attacking the poor lechon and when they saw me... wala lang... haha! Of course they were surprised! (bisag wala gyud hehe). I can still remember Brigitt's voice shouting my name when she saw me. Haha. I really missed these guys.

From here, I'll let the pictures tell you the rest of the story:

Okay let's start with the poor lechon. Poor but yummy.

Here we go now!

Aren't they gorgy? (From L - R) Chatty, Diosa, NiƱa, Brigitt, Tania

Ang mga Kulot sauna. Belen is missing in action. Boo!

We are the B-E-S-T the best! Among the R-E-S-T the rest!
Chikading-chikading lupad ug milupad. (that was our cheer! haha)

After the event, we went to Clintam's crib to chill and chat.

Then we went to Hangout: Talibon's new hangout bar.

Go yaya! No challenge ang Tanduay Ice! Haha :D

My peace y'all pose. wahaha! XD

It was very hot in there, but who cares, we danced the night away.

All soaking wet ang drama.

Okay I'm gonna stop the pictures right here... hehe.

That was an absolutely jam-packed, awesome event! One night is so not enough to recall all our sweet and funny memories from high school. I couldn't help but laugh all night reminiscing the past.

Can't wait for our next grand reunion!
