Today, August 9, 2011, I'll be saying hello to a new music buddy. This doesn't mean that I'm dumping for good my current music buddy (for 1 year and a half now) - my iPod.
My iPod with my Monster Beats headphones.

Since last year, my iPod has been my company when I go to work, when I go home from work, when I'm sad or lonely or happy or angry, my iPod is always there for me to play the songs that suits my mood (char lang!). And now that my iPod will not be used regularly in the following days, I realized that I should make a post about the songs that my iPod has been playing for me since the past 1 and a half year.

20. Who Says by Selena Gomez and the Scenes
I started playing this track when I went to Family Park together with my best office buds. We were singing who says who says you're not beautiful...who says? loudly at the car.

19. Give Me Everything by Pitbull featuring Neyo
I started to like this song when I saw the Iconic Boys perform it on America's Best Dance Crew for their finale dance. Currently, this song ticks at the top 5 of Billboard Hot 100.

18. Super Bass by Nicki Minaj
This song made its way to number 18 on this list because I always play this on loop, trying to memorize the lyrics. Nicki Minaj is really a great rapper and I love her songs!

17. Yeah 3x by  Chris Brown
This is one of my favorite songs from his F.A.M.E. album. I also like the song Next 2 U featuring Justin Bieber. Actually, I thought that Next 2 U would be included in the top 20 and not this song but obviously,  I was wrong. haha!

16. I Wanna Go by Britney Spears
This is my most favorite song from her album Femme Fatale. This is the song that makes me wanna throw my hands up in the ayer. Hahaha!

15. Run the World (Girls) by Beyonce

After her breath-taking and jaw-dropping  performance at Billboard Music Awards, this song has been a regular mainstay on my playlist.

14. Irreplaceable by Beyonce

I keep on listening to this track because I think this is the best Beyonce song ever.

13. All of the Lights by Kanye West featuring Rihanna

I was fascinated with this song because of the nice beat and nice music video. I have also seen the top 3 contenders of ABDC perform a dance number of this song during their Kanye West episode.

12. Man Down by Rihanna
I so so so love this song! I even memorized the lyrics! Hahaha! My officemates always hear me sing this song at the office --- loudly. I guess their favorite part is "rum bum bum bum, rum bum bum bum, rum bum bum bum, Man down!" because they always ask me "kantaha nato imo rapapumpum nga song!" hehe

11. Ordinary Day by Vanessa Carlton

Last year, this was my "going home" anthem because this is the first song always played when I'm about to go home. Toinks!

10. Party Rock Anthem by LMFAO
When I got my Monster Beats headphone just recently, I keep on repeating this song because it's so awesome to hear. It's like I'm on a disco bar!

9. I'm Into You by Jennifer Lopez
This was the time when I was hit by the last song syndrome "na na nananananana na eh!".

8. Your Love is my Drug by Ke$ha
Last year, this was my "morning anthem" because I played this every morning when I come to the office. In fact, my project leader asked me why I always keep on playing this song. Haha.

7. Hummingbird Heartbeat by Katy Perry
I am a big fan of Katy Perry. Her latest album Teenage Dream was a blast too! This song reminds me of the buwaya (only my best buddy, Jellie, can relate) hahaha. This is my most favorite song of her album. I hope that she will make a music video for this one in the coming days. If I'm not mistaken, this song was the most played track as of December 2010 but I was surprised it dipped down to number 7 this year. O_o

6. Firework by Katy Perry
This song has been a personal favorite of mine the day Katy Perry released her Teenage Dream album last year. I already know every bit of this song before it broke the airwaves and became a household song and New Year anthem for 2011.

5. Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.) by Katy Perry
This one came as a surprise. My taste for this song is like on and off. One day I really keep on looping the song, then after one day, I delete it in my regular playlist. This is Katy Perry's latest hit and I'm crossing my fingers that it would hit number 1 after she releases the remix of Last Friday Night featuring Missy Elliot.

4. The Edge of Glory by Lady Gaga
Oh I love this song! This song is unique and I just love every single beat. I don't know what's with it but maybe it's the saxophone. I just love singing my heart out when I hear this playing on my iPod.

3. Judas by Lady Gaga

I kept on saying bad things about this song - that it's demonic and blasphemous...  But actually, this song made me crazy. I remembered this was released before Holy Week and I kept on playing it. Because of guilt, I promised myself not to listen to it at Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Black Saturday and I was successful, but on Easter Sunday, I played this song a million times. Toinks!

2. Teenage Dream by Katy Perry
When it comes to joyride, I really love singing this song. We first sang this on our joyride (with Margie, Ate Val, Jeraldy and Jellie)  at the city. Then, we sang it repeatedly at our Bohol trip and after that, I tagged this song as the "Joyride Anthem". Hehe. I guess its music video wherein Katy Perry had joyride with her boyfriend influenced me about this.

1. California King Bed - Rihanna
And the most played track in my iPod is no other than California King Bed! When Rihanna released her Loud album last year, this was the first song that caught my attention. I've waited like 50 years for the release of its music video  and it was worth the wait. This is I think the most powerful ballad of Rihanna. I am really upset with the current chart standing of California King Bed at Billboard Hot 100. It has not even reached top 10 and I think that's crazy impossible like are you kidding me?!! But anyway, I think that this song would win many major awards. :)

My top 20 most played tracks.

So that's it... :)
I would like to say thank you (with teary eyes) to my iPod for our great moments together. You have served your master well! (Hahaha OA jud as in, pero sige nalang gud... hahahaha)
Now let me introduce to you my new music buddy:
It's an iTouch 4! Wicked! :))
